Art Therapy Yorkshire are delighted to be involved with this summers event here, on the beautiful crescent in Scarborough.
We shall be providing refreshments, children’s activities and a great chance to find out a bit more about what we do, and how. All free of charge – the only cost to you is to stop and engage with us, whilst the children learn to make a kite or use their creative skills with some pavement chalks!
Here is the Woodend link for more information and more from us specifically soon. https://scarboroughmuseumsandgalleries.org.uk/whats-on/event/summer-on-the-crescent/

Again we wish to send our thanks to one of the trust funds who have responded with a big YES to our applications for support with our work.
The Anton Jurgens Charitable trust has awarded ATY with £5000 to continue our work here within our community , they support UK based charities working to help those who are vulnerable in society, and we are delighted out objectives match so well. We hope to use this money to establish an Art Therapy group at the Rainbow Centre – more on that later!

We are sorry to have to announce that we are losing 3 very capable therapists.
Firstly thank you Jude, for your excellent work with ATY – we wish you luck as you complete your Masters and enter the workforce as a fully fledged Art Therapist. Thank you for your work with MIND and presenting our first eco art therapy group. We know we will see you again soon, and have fun with your final student exhibition at Derby next month.
We are also saying farewell to Trudy and Sarah, logistically it is simply too tricky to operate from Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire, although we shall be maintaining links with you both. BUT as they say in the movies – we know where you live! keep in touch.

We are happy to announce that ATY is an intervention partner on RISE2THRIVE project. Sue and Holly attended the launch event of RISE2THRIVE in Harrogate recently. David Skaith, newly appointed Mayor was present for the event, and had some welcoming insights. ATY are very much looking forward to working with participants on the project delivering art therapy. #betterconnect #Rise2Thrive #davidskaith #nycc #levelingup
