This fundraising will directly give vital therapeutic interventions, through our service, for those struggling with life issues and poor mental health.
We were delighted to host and present to the Art Therapists regional meeting. on sat, 21st Sept. Scarborough showed herself at her best. The beach was fabulous! Thank you for the excellent feedback everyone.
We held talks and discussions on operation as an Art Therapy Charity and our unique position, we offered workshops on Clay, thanks Pete, and collage, thanks Sue .
Our delicious lunch was from the wonderful Seafood Social who support the Rainbow Centre, Thanks Bill for delivering right on time.
Holly lead the group down through the gardens to the beach where we took advantage of the low tide to make art in the environment on the beautiful pristine white sands. And yes we all had a paddle as well.

Sept. saw our volunteer Sarah visit the freshers fair at Scarborough TEC, on our behalf, followed the very next day by the Scarborough 6th Form. Thanks for inviting us, thanks for your work Sarah and have a good year everyone.
In August we were invited to run some art therapy workshops for young carers in York. We spent two days running workshops in the morning and afternoon. This was warmly received and those participating came with creative enthusiasm engaging in the art therapy activities. We had the pleasure of been at Headland Festival again this year. The ATY team was there on the Saturday and Sunday day time, with fun activities for all the families. On offer were map making using quills, kite making, making pixie wings and wands and finishing off the days with quiet drawing and painting. The event was a great success with many attending the festival coming and visiting the ATY Tent.
Receiving the following positive feedback on the days: Anon ‘…would have be rubbish here during the day without you…’ and Anon ‘Staxtonbury doesn’t do anything like this.’
