Thanks to a grant from the Big Lottery Community Fund we are able to offer fully funded places to those who may self-refer, or via another agency. If lockdown and Covid 19 issues has affected you adversely and wish to work through these things with an experienced mental health practitioner using art psychotherapy please get in touch, simply make an appointment to discuss the options with us.
We will be happy to explain art therapy to you and answer any questions around our practice. As always we have a simple assessment process and if appropriate we will offer you a minimum 10 week art therapy programme free of charge. Donations are always welcome!
We wish to acknowledge the Two Ridings Community Foundation based in York who, through their Community First Whitby and Scarborough Fund have supported the provision of our pilot Young Persons group. This 6 week group worked with Young People in our community who have been disadvantaged, and struggle with some aspect of their lives. Unfortunately the successful conclusion of this work was curtailed owing to the Covid 19 shut down, but contact is maintained with the young people involved and shall continue in the future. This was considered a pilot as it included a more structured and themed approach in its short term approach, a way of working which is becoming more a reality.
Scarborough shoppers, we need your support. We are pleased to be one of the 3 charities supported by the Tescos bags of help scheme in our local shops until the end Dec. Please remember to pick up your little blue token in store and post it in our section of the bags of help display point in store. This will all aid our vital work with older adults locally. 
The High Sheriff on North Yorkshire, Chris Legard with the Two Ridings Community Foundation hosted a extremely enjoyable evening at a fabulous venue The Orangery Settrington. We were delighted to be able to pitch alongside 4 other local organisation for a share of a pot! Everyone came away with a great donation in order to further their work. A fantastically upbeat and positive event – even bearing in mind the difficult nature of the work undertaken by the organisations and their need for sustainable funding. Great people, great canapes! This will go along way towards starting our long anticipated and much needed men’s group.
We were delighted to receive a prize from the Cavalier Scarborough Rotary Club, for our stall at the Scarborough community fair. Home made bunting in ATY colours. A winner…we thought, although we won third prize.

We will be holding the ART TENT at the Headland 2018 festival held at The Hulleys, a farm just north of Scarborough, and there for the full weekend! 24-26 August. we are all very excited to be there and the art activities available will only be limited by our imaginations! lots of beautiful glittery things to do!

ATY will be present at the annual Community fair held in Scarborough Centre – Our Stall will be outside BonMarche on Westborough… Come along and support us. We will be wearing our new ATY branded T shirts which is pretty astonishing considering our aversion to anything corporate!
