Big Thank You to Garfield Weston Foundation

Big thank you to Garfield Weston Foundation for awarding Art Therapy Yorkshire a one year grant of £7,500. This vital funding will help to continue delivering our services supporting people in Scarborough and across Yorkshire to improve their mental health and wellbeing using Art Psychotherapy and creative arts activities.

The ATY Team would like to express a big thank you to The Liz and Terry Bramall Foundation based in Harrogate, for the £7,500 the foundation has awarded to Art Therapy Yorkshire. This funding will help to continue delivering our services supporting people in Scarborough and across Yorkshire to improve their mental health and wellbeing using Art Psychotherapy and creative arts activities.

Big Thank You to The Albert Hunt Trust

A big thank you to The Albert Hunt Trust, for the £1000 that has been awarded to Art Therapy Yorkshire for our core funds. This money will help go towards supporting all our work and aims, to support people in Scarborough and across Yorkshire to improve their mental health and wellbeing using Art Psychotherapy and creative arts activities. Art Psychotherapy is a recognised, regulated psychological therapy which uses a wide range of art materials and techniques to enable clients to express thoughts and feelings.

Art Talking Again Women’s Group UPDATE!

Our Women’s Art Therapy Group which had been postponed we begin in the New Year on Monday 10th January 2022.

 We are still taking applications for this group. This group will run for 10 weeks and is a closed group run by to of our Art Therapists. If you are interested in  signing up and attending this women’s group please contact 01723 384556 or email admin@arttherapyyorkshire.org.uk, to express your interest.
 If you are new or returning to ATY, you will be invited to attend an initial assessment meeting. This is requirement of the terms of the group, unless  you are currently accessing 1-1 support from ATY.

Halloween Fundraiser Total of £330

Thank you to everyone who supported Art Therapy Yorkshire’s Halloween Craft Fair an Tea Room at Hackness Village Hall yesterday. We were very popular on our tombola stall with all the wonderful prizes we had to offer. This would not have been possible without the generous donations we received prior to the event. Big thank you to all who were able to support us and donation a prize/s. In total the sum of £185 was raised on our tombola. ATY also received a donation of £145 from Hackness Village Hall Craft Fair Organisers, a big thank you for this donation. Making a grand total of £330, this will go towards supporting vulnerable individuals within our local community.

 

The Mayor and Mayoress meeting and speaking to Sue and Moyra our Chair Trustee at the Halloween Fundraiser yesterday,  before the Mayor’s speech. Thank you for attending and supporting Art Therapy Yorkshire.

 

Sirius Minerals Foundation visit to Art Therapy Yorkshire

Art Therapy Yorkshire therapists Peter, Holly and Ann with Moyra our Chair Trustee were happy to welcome Sirius Minerals Foundation Trustee and Representative on Wednesday 20th October for a visit. Sirius Minerals Foundation have recently awarded funding and this will enable a Men’s Group for 2022.

This is hugely important work and for this to be secured will enable this valuable support to continue in next year. It was a pleasure to host for Sirius Minerals Foundation, although a short visit we were able to discuss what we do, why we do and and the upcoming Men’s Group this funding will support.
